When I first saw the label for Monkey Picked Oolong Tea, I couldn't help but laugh. I'd had a really boring day, so the funny mental picture of one of my Curious George dolls I had as a kid climbing up a tree and picking tea was welcome! After reading the package, I figured Monkey-Picked Oolong Tea would be worth a try. I'm glad I did!

Apparently legend has it that Buddhist monks in China trained monkeys to climb up to the top of the Camellia sinesis plant to pick the buds used to make the tea. Monkey-Picked Oolong Tea is mostly found in a loose-leaf form rather than the bags you'd find with other teas.
